Small Walnut Table Lamp with Black Empire Shade
This lamp is a sculptural conception and collaboration of wife and husband team Danielle (shade maker) and Chris Hennessy (wood sculptor). The shade, naturally dyed with cutch and iron to create a marbled effect, provides a kinetic and celestial context, while the upper ellipse of the lamp’s split body suggests earthly form in space. The lower half of the body is footed and indefinitely animalistic, an impression of an empyrean being’s inseparable connection to the material world.
This is a small table lamp for someone with an appreciation for dark tones, smooth contours, and concept with functionality.

Care
Clean with a soft dry cloth. Our lamps have a permanent finish. We don’t recommend applying any cleaners, oil, or solvent, which can affect the appearance of the wood’s finish. Lamps with naturally dyed shades are best kept out of direct sunlight to avoid fading. If your lamp becomes damaged, please contact us directly for best advice. We offer repair services.
